Freedom for Youth – Mark Nelson, saving lives saves communities.

It started with one, one girl they found under a bridge in Des Moines headed for certain death in her own words.   Since that time Freedom for Youth has served several hundred young adults.   Helping them learn healthy lifestyle habits, learn skills and vocations, hold jobs, and, most importantly find true freedom when they learn to  live for Christ.    The ministry accepts no tax dollars, but instead is saving taxpayers dollars when kids leave dangerous habits that can lead to unemployment, health risks, and living off government aid; and instead turning them into responsible members of society. Plus, in many smaller communities these young adults are the future.  Freedom for Youth may actually be saving some of these rural communities by making sure the next generation is productive – giving rather than taking services in the community.

Join Freedom for Youth at their Oct 13th banquet at the Airport Holiday Inn, 6111 Fleur Drive, Des Moines.   6-8 p.m.  Consider hosting a table to see how you can support a ministry that is truly making a difference where you live – right here at home.  RSVP to Joyce by Oct 5 at 515-282-4822.
